Direct Mail
Direct mail advertising is all about accuracy. It affords the opportunity to spend less money, yet provides the advantage of mailing to a more specific demographic. At PlattForm, we leverage both creative flair and broad experience in the education industry for our clients' direct mail jobs.
PlattForm takes pride in making our direct mail advertising personal and powerful. This makes us the agency to turn to for even the most complex marketing insert need. Our direct mail advertising services grab attention of potential leads. And with our sophisticated list selection technology, our clients don't waste time and money on uninterested people.
PlattForm is a direct mail company that delivers
No one likes to get boring, generic mail that doesn't speak to their interests or needs. So we know that prospective students will toss any mail we send that doesn't capture and keep their interest. Our clients deserve more for their money.
That’s exactly why PlattForm researches and analyzes potential leads. That's how we know how to create direct mail advertising that engages and excites people. We combine versatile software solutions, award-winning creative and shrewd placement strategies to help give our clients the edge.
Additionally, we evaluate the results of each step of our direct mail advertising services to ensure we’re delivering a creative campaign of the most cost-effective leads possible.
Take the guesswork out of profitable marketing
In addition to our award-winning creative expertise, PlattForm also uses Claritas PRIZM NE technology, which segments the population based on Zip code.
The science powering the PRIZM technology can identify leads with common interests – like a desire to learn more about a certain school – based on the specific areas in which they live … down to the street. This is something direct mail advertising does that television and radio campaigns simply cannot.

Case Study - Print
Client: A career school that had recently undergone a name change.
Challenge: PlattForm's mission was to help build brand identity in their DMA upon the school's name change.
Action: PlattForm developed a newspaper creative campaign to promote the brand in the market. All creative that ran had a consistent look and feel and promoted the logo and tag line of the new school while focusing on the benefits of an education. A print buy put in place gave the school a consistent presence in many of the major publications in the area. Through communication and planning with the client, PlattForm was able to run in small neighborhood publications to promote struggling campuses.
Results: After an initial ramp-up period, leads are at 136% of plan. We have found a consistent presence that works for lead flow, and we are able to move into promoting more program-specific creative.
Case Study - Interactive
Client: A career school with locations in multiple markets nationwide.
Challenge: The school group was having difficulty working old leads and was struggling to maintain needed lead flow; PlattForm needed to help them in both areas.
Action: PlattForm began by testing o-cycle drops to leads that had inquired within the past year. Once the client saw the initial success, we developed templates in order to make the email marketing creative process quick for the client. Using templates focusing on pushing struggling programs, creating awareness for open houses, and increasing general awareness, we were able to drop to over 12 markets monthly and see success.
Results: We were able to maintain success by using the templates, and we still see consistency of a .3% conversion rate, which is above average. We continue to see responses ranging from 5-40 in quantity, depending on the program and list size. These templates are now an integral part of overall monthly advertising.
Case Study - Collateral Development
Client: A non-school client on the East Coast.
Challenge: The organization on the East Coast needed a booth to take to conferences and events around the country. PlattForm's design team needed to provide solid creative and branding for the client.
Action: The organization was familiar with our work, as they have seen our PlattForm booth at the annual CCA conference. The client specified their needs, and PlattForm provided insight as to which booth frame best suited their needs. We took the specs of the booth and developed the creative for the booth panels based on the client’s likes and dislikes and the overall goal of the booth.
Results: As the booth panels were in the final approval stage, the client then asked PlattForm to develop additional collateral pieces, such as brochures and other promotional products, that all had the same look and feel. The client was very satisfied with the outcome of their booth and all of the collateral pieces. The client now turns to PlattForm for affordable updates to collateral as their needs change, and they still maintain their branded look and feel.
Case Study - Strategic Partnership
Client: A school group that recently received approval on a highly specialized program.
Challenge: The school group received approval on their new, specialized curriculum quickly. They needed PlattForm to help them begin advertising sooner than they initially anticipated.
Action: PlattForm worked with the school group to develop new television spots. Due to time restrictions, PlattForm used previous B-roll footage, allowing us to create spots as quickly as possible.
Results: The spot produced by PlattForm successfully generated lead flow for this program. In fact, the lead flow so much surpassed the initial projections that the spots had to be removed from rotation for a length of time.
