HR – What do those letters stand for again?

It’s Human Resources, silly. If I’ve heard that question once, I’ve heard it 100 times. Even better is this question: “If you are not hiring or firing, what is it that you people do all day?” Having been in the HR field for well over ten years, I have been bombarded with questions like those and, of course, many others.

PlattForm Advertising is a unique company full of unique individuals and therefore, our HR department is unique, as well. Just as PlattForm stands out from other agencies due to our customer service and “delivering +1” philosophy, so does our HR team. Other companies might use Human Resources strictly for recruiting, hiring, benefits administration, sexual harassment training, and – in some cases – for payroll, but PlattForm takes it one step further. Human Resources at PlattForm is a melting pot of duties; there is nothing that we won’t tackle. Yes, we do hiring, firing, benefits, payroll, attendance tracking, performance reviews, compensation reviews and formal write-ups, but we also do so much more. Need directions? We’ll give ‘em. So, whereas many HR departments keep their to-do list short and sweet, here at PF we deliver +1 in every way we can. Because what does HR really do if not provide resources to humans? It is what HR stands for, after all.
