Mini-Networks

It just stands to reason that a large number of the leads generated come from education-focused sites. These Education “portals” do produce great leads. This is because they offer up an abundant amount of great information about different schools, what programs are offered, and they also allow users to seek out schools that meet their needs.

This is great when someone is actively looking for further education, but what about when they are taking a more passive approach? Why not reach out to registered members of a recipe sharing site to see if they are interested in culinary school? How about a directory of personal training schools on a site that is focused on health and wellness? This is why the PlattForm Partners network is actually made up of a number of smaller mini-networks. This can be as straightforward as the connections made in the two examples above, but occasionally finding opportunities to create a mini-network can be much more difficult.

This has never been more apparent than in our attempts to target the military. This is primarily because most military personnel’s search trends do not differ all that much from their civilian counterparts. When they are looking for a school, they do not necessarily search for information on the GI bill. Most are already familiar with their benefits and what they entail.

But, there is still an opportunity to reach out to servicemen and women that are taking the more passive approach. So, how do we create a mini-network for the military? We’ve searched and searched for an answer and recently we have found some potential opportunities. Some even involve on-base presentations or direct contact with Education Officers! I guess only time will tell if our efforts are successful, but it appears that we’re on the right track. We’re really excited to see how these new partners can target military personnel and look forward to growth in this sector.
