OOOOOOOOO-Olathe!

When clients visit PlattForm – they always say the same thing:  “Wow!  Impressive!”  That’s probably because once they get to lovely Olathe, Kansas, they are perhaps expecting an abundance of farm fields. 

Chateau PlattForm is nestled in the non-rolling hills of Olathe – which is right outside Kansas City.   Olathe (along with our sister city, Overland Park) was recently voted one of the Top 20 cities in the country to live.*     I have no idea if it’s one of the Top 20 cities in the country to WORK … but, whatever.   So welcome to Olathe, everyone!  Try not to mispronounce it!  For the record … it’s oh-LAY-thuh.  

Clients who stumble in here are amazed at the zany environment, the state-of-the-art equipment and, of course, the fact we have running water.  Except on Sundays.  While ¾’s of all the other ad agencies have opted for the concrete jungle of  downtown KC --  PlattForm, meanwhile, prides itself on being in the ‘burbs!  Where we have room to grow.  And that’s exactly what we’ve done.  Thrice.

While we’re not technically in “the sticks” … clients must create this mental image before they even get here.  I’m not sure what that image is … but it usually involves overalls and a nearby tractor supply company.  Being in the sticks does have its advantages.  Pollution-free.  Relatively no traffic hassles.  And free parking.

But there are other advantages, too.  KC is famous for their BBQ – duh.  Now let’s say a client wants BBQ.  If you’re trapped in an office downtown … you can’t exactly go out your door and find a cow.  But here in Olathe – if a client wants BBQ, we’ll just fire up the grill and call Farmer Ted … he’s four blocks down on the left.

Toto, I think we’re in Kansas.
