The Media Buyer at PlattForm Advertising is responsible for the creation, execution, and ongoing optimization of local direct response media buys involving Television, Newspaper and Radio, with an emphasis on Spot TV/Cable.

Primary job responsibilities include:

• Negotiation: Aggressive negotiation of rates, placement and added value via direct communication with media-partners.
• Communication: Constant communication with internal and external parties, primarily with respect to market/campaign performance.
• Data analysis and decision-making: Continuous evaluation and utilization of real-time performance data and metrics.
• Buy creation and execution: Creation of media buys utilizing proprietary PlattForm software; execution and management of insertion orders to media-partners.
• Creative selection and trafficking: Review and selection of media creative based on relevant performance metrics; execution and management of traffic orders to media partners.
• Collaboration: Ongoing collaboration with Media Analysts, Media Supervisors and other relevant stakeholders across the company.
• Research: Self-directed research efforts to uncover new media strategies and enhance the effectiveness of existing strategies.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate “real-world” experience
• 3+ years media-buying experience; experience with DRTV and/or Education     is preferred
• High-level computer skills; expertise with Excel
• Familiarity with common media buying software and tools; STRATA, MRI, Kantar/TNS, etc.
