A conversation with Justin Gill, CMAO

Justin has served PlattForm for over eight years. In his current role, he supports internal efforts to generate more cost-efficient inquiries and enrollments for our clients through traditional and direct marketing channels. He works constantly with our Client Services and Business Intelligence teams to design and deliver integrated media strategies that produce optimum results.

His personal motto is “Get better every day,” and that’s an expectation he holds for others, as well. His buzzword is accountability. Employees – even clients – are accustomed to his assertive approach – his questioning, challenging and coaching. “That’s how people grow, and organizations, too,” he says. “It doesn’t happen by itself; it takes energy and effort.”

He describes his journey through life as a test. "I feel like I’m constantly being tested – in so many ways, on so many levels – and testing others, too. Not in a literal sense, like what's right or what's wrong, but confronting perspective. Am I looking at this the right way? Are you?” In this respect, Justin also has a great deal of appreciation for people with distinct points of view – "people who are confident, have chutzpah, and are willing to challenge convention and propose a better way.”

If Justin were allowed to re-invent his life, he'd choose a less stressful path. “Being Type A is exhausting. I haven't found the off-switch yet. I'll keep looking." Until that happens, expect to find him roaming the halls of PlattForm, exhorting his team and the company to get better every day.
